VALPARAISO, IN – Your feet must last a lifetime. According to the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), most Americans log 75,000 miles on their feet by the time they reach age 50. Unfortunately, millions of Americans go without foot care because they lack access to podiatry services.
Furthering HealthLinc’s mission to expand access to exceptional health care, HealthLinc is excited to now offer podiatry services at HealthLinc Valparaiso.
With more than 15 years of experience and a continuing private practice of his own, Dr. William Roman Jr., a board-certified podiatrist, joins HealthLinc to enhance the comprehensive primary care they provide their patients. He will be joined by Dr. Reem Mohammed, a board-certified podiatrist who will also be seeing patients at the Valparaiso clinic.
In addition to providing surgical care for foot and ankle problems, Dr. Roman and Dr. Mohammed will treat common conditions such as heel, ankle and foot pain, warts and fungal infections, bunions and ingrown toenails, sprains and fractures, corns and calluses, plantar fasciitis, foot deformities, and orthotics. They also treat sports-related injuries and will collaborate with members of the clinical and pharmacy teams in the treatment of diabetic foot care.

With proper detection, intervention, and care, most foot and ankle problems can be lessened or prevented. Podiatry services are available to all HealthLinc patients at the Valparaiso clinic with the hope of expanding this service to other HealthLinc clinics in the future.
