HealthLinc has received $15,000 in grants from the Delta Dental Foundation (DDF) through its Mini-Grants Program. Before the organizations merged as HealthLinc on October 1, Heart City Health received an $8,000 grant, and HealthLinc received a $7,000 grant.
The funds will be used to purchase two DEXIS™ IXS Digital Intraoral Sensors and a replacement laser handpiece for HealthLinc Heart City Dental. The sensors create digital X-ray images of patients’ teeth, gums and surrounding bone, giving dental providers quick access to images they need to plan and provide high-quality care.
“This clinic provides a wide range of dental services, including bridges, dentures, crowns, fillings, partials, root canals, emergency care and children’s dentistry,” said HealthLinc CEO Melissa Mitchell. “This grant will help us improve our dental services and make care more accessible to the people in our communities.”
The new sensors will allow HealthLinc Heart City Dental to serve more patients and help the clinic meet the growing demand for affordable dental care.
“Access to oral health care is critical to overall well-being,” said Holli Seabury, executive director of the DDF. “We’re proud to support HealthLinc’s efforts to reach more patients and strengthen the health of its communities.”
HealthLinc Heart City Dental currently has two X-ray sensors to support the work of our dental team. Adding two more sensors will help reduce wait times, improve the patient and provider experience and allow more patients to receive timely, quality dental care.
