If you do not have insurance and that has kept you from finding the health care you need, HealthLinc is here to help. HealthLinc is a community health center, which means patients can receive care without insurance.
Taking care of your health allows you to live your life feeling your best, and that is why HealthLinc opens its doors to everyone, with or without insurance. There are also other opportunities for financial help at HealthLinc, including health insurance enrollment assistance, the sliding fee scale and community events.
Get Health Insurance Enrollment Assistance
If you do not currently have insurance but would like to find out more about your options, HealthLinc’s community health navigators can offer you health insurance enrollment assistance.
During your appointment, you will go over your identification, personal documents, any insurance you may have (including Medicaid and Medicare), household information and income. Once they have this information, they will see what insurance options you have.
Our community health navigators can guide you through:
- Marketplace
- Medicaid
- Medicare SHIP Services (State Health Insurance Assistance Program)
- Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP)
- And more!
Receive Discounted Care with the Sliding Fee Scale
You can receive medical, dental, behavioral health and other types of care at a discount with HealthLinc’s sliding fee scale. You may qualify for the sliding fee scale depending on your household size, your annual income and federal guidelines.
If you would like to learn if you qualify for the sliding fee scale, you can schedule an appointment with one of our intake coordinators. They will take a look at your photo ID, proof of your income and other documents to figure out if you qualify on the sliding fee scale. If your household has multiple adults with an income, your intake coordinator will need proof of income for every working adult in the household.
The sliding fee scale has different levels of discounts, and your intake coordinator will tell you which level of discount you will receive and teach you about what that level means for you and your household.
Attend a Community Event
HealthLinc hosts community events throughout the year, including its community health fairs. These community health fairs offer no-cost screenings, well-child checkups, sports physicals, resources and even vaccinations at select locations each summer to help families prepare for the back-to-school season.
These community events give patients with no insurance another opportunity to receive health care.
