VALPARAISO, IN — HealthLinc IUSB Medical has temporarily joined forces with HealthLinc Southeast to better serve patients of the South Bend community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Operating out of the HealthLinc Southeast clinic at 1708 High St. in South Bend, IN, patients can make appointments with Dr. Dawn Simala, along with Family Nurse Practitioners, Christine Hawkins and Michelle Streb, and Women’s Health Practitioner, Patricia Corbett, by calling 1-888-580-1060.
“Our patient’s health and safety are our top priorities as we respond to this rapidly developing pandemic,” says Beth Wrobel, HealthLinc CEO. “We are evaluating our operations daily to make sure our team continues to provide our patients with access to the exceptional health care they have come to rely on us for.”
HealthLinc clinics across northern Indiana have expanded their telemedicine services and adopted a modified patient schedule to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure to patients and staff. Preventive appointments, follow-up exams and medication refills are scheduled in the morning, while symptomatic patients are seen later in the day followed by an extensive cleaning every night.
In addition, HealthLinc Southeast has a drive-through facility for their patients who have first been seen through one of their telemedicine appointments and were given an order, by a HealthLinc provider, to be screened for viruses such as influenza and RSV.
HealthLinc Centennial, located at 621 Memorial Dr., Ste. 402, South Bend and HealthLinc Mishawaka, located at 420 W. 4th St., Mishawaka are fully operational. IUSB Dental, located at 1002 S. Esther St., remains open for emergencies only.
