1. You save money on your prescriptions
Prescription medications can be expensive. With the help of 340B, you can get your needed prescriptions, such as insulin and asthma inhalers, at a discounted price. This can help you save money each month to put towards other expenses such as groceries, transportation and more.
2. You can get your prescriptions even if you don’t have insurance
For many without insurance, it is hard to get needed medications because of how expensive they can be. If you do not have insurance but need a prescription, you can speak with your provider about the 340B program and if the medication qualifies for the discounted price.
3. It can help with the cost of medications not covered by insurance
Even if you do have insurance, sometimes your insurance provider only covers part of the cost of the prescription or none of the cost. In this case, you can speak with your provider about using the 340B program instead of your insurance. In many cases, you end up paying much less through the program than you would even if insurance covered part of your prescription cost.
4. It is available to all patients and insurance statuses
The best thing about the 340B program is that all HealthLinc patients can take part. To participate in the program, you simply must be a patient of HealthLinc (or any other qualifying healthcare organization) and have your medication prescribed by a HealthLinc provider. From there, you can either visit one of our HealthLinc Pharmacy locations or a 340B partner pharmacy to get your prescription filled.
