Your HealthLinc provider may refer you to a specialty provider. This helps provide a full understanding of your health and allows us to provide the best possible care.
We are committed to helping you schedule and complete your referral and will work with you through the process.
What to Expect
- Your HealthLinc referral representative will send your information to a specialist who takes your insurance.
- You may need testing before your appointment with a specialist, like an X-ray, MRI or labs. If your provider orders tests, please complete them as soon as possible.
- The specialist’s office should call you to schedule an appointment.
- Some specialists have long wait times, and you may not receive a call right away.
When to Call HealthLinc
- There is a specialist you’d like to see.
- You don’t hear from the specialist within two weeks.
- You have questions about your appointment.
- When you get an appointment, we’d love to know!
Things to Know
- We’ll do our best to find a specialist near you. Sometimes insurance tells us where you can go.
- If you need to cancel your appointment, call the specialist’s office as soon as possible.
- If you miss your visit and are unable to reschedule, call us so we can help.
