Dr. Leitzel is dedicated to understanding her patients and their overall story in order to care for each specific health issue. Her goal is to empower her patients to improve their health and help them understand how they can live healthier lives. Dr. Leitzel draws on experience in family medicine of all types, including newborn care, pediatric and adolescent health, women’s health and adult medicine, as well as tropical medicine.

Dr. Leitzel received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Leitzel works with the residents of the family medicine residency program at HealthLinc.
