Devon Jones
Chief Behavioral Health and Addictions Officer
As HealthLinc’s Chief Behavioral Health and Addictions Officer, Devon Jones develops the strategic direction of behavioral health and addiction services, integration and community collaborations while ensuring programs and services provide exceptional patient care. He has over 16 years of experience in behavioral health and has held leadership roles in free-standing psychiatric facilities, residential substance use treatment, community mental health centers, child welfare and intellectual/developmental disabilities services. Devon is dedicated to building diverse, integrated and recovery-oriented teams and communities, and has a history of integrating services and creating community collaborations to improve care for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. As a person in long-term recovery and a certified peer recovery specialist, Devon has been able to reduce stigma and develop programs using the certified peer support model, including mobile response teams in the community and in hospital emergency departments.
Devon received his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in social work from Indiana University School of Social Work. He furthered his education and training by completing specialized coursework in population health and value-based care, as well as an executive leadership program through Butler University. He is a licensed clinical social worker and a community health worker/certified recovery specialist. Devon was awarded IUPUI’s top 100 student award for his academic excellence, campus leadership and community engagement, and was named Indy’s Best and Brightest top 10 under 40 for the nonprofit sector in 2017. Devon enjoys traveling, bouldering and playing video games with his wife and two daughters.
