Melissa Mitchell

Chief Executive Officer

Melissa Mitchell is currently the chief executive officer for HealthLinc, a federally qualified health center located in Valparaiso, IN. She has been with HealthLinc for over 15 years and in several positions including managed care specialist, chief operating officer and chief innovation and strategy officer before becoming the chief executive officer in 2024.

She is a graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, IN with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and has a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governor’s University, Salt Lake City, UT. Melissa is a graduate of the Johnson & Johnson Health Care Executive Program at UCLA (2014) and has a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification.

She currently serves on the Rural Health Care Committee for the National Association of Community Health Centers, the Indiana Primary Health Care Association board, the State Public Health Data Advisory Committee and the Starke County Economic Development Foundation Board.

She was named to the NWI Times 2020 Class of 20 Under 40 and is one of The Leadership Institute and Society of Innovators at PNW 2024 Women on the Rise.

Melissa is a native of Indiana and lives in Knox with her husband and three children. She is active in the Starke County community and is a member of the Victory Christian Church in Knox, IN.
